Hyderabad: Early on Monday, at Chilukaluripet in Guntur district, the police caught up the illegal transportation of the ration rice and held the culprits involved in the case. The police turned down the attempt made by the local ration dealer in his attempt of the illegal transportation of the 113 bags of ration rice and held him. Following authenticated information, the police carried out a raid and seized the vehicles which were on its way to Mandapet in East Godavari district. More details are awaited.
It may be recalled that the Civil Supplies authorities of Andhra Pradesh state on Thursday have seized 330 bags of rice being illegally transported at Nutalapadu village of Kotturu Mandal in Prakasam district. Early in the morning, the authorities have raided an old house and seized the rice bags which were being loaded into a lorry. The labours involved in the loading of rice bags ran away from the spot upon seeing the officials. More details into the matter are awaited.
