Darshana received the award in the business leader category as part of Interop’s first-ever recognition of women achievers in India for their outstanding contribution in the field of information technology. The conference celebrates the idea of bringing IT communities together and providing valuable technology learning and experiences to its audience
The sixth edition of ‘Interop Mumbai’ saw Darshana Pai, vice-president and head of Virtusa’s Hyderabad Delivery Centre, receiving the prestigious ‘Women Achievers in IT’ recognition from Interop, a global independent technology conference and platform.

Darshana received the award in the business leader category as part of Interop’s first-ever recognition of women achievers in India for their outstanding contribution in the field of information technology.
The conference celebrates the idea of bringing IT communities together and providing valuable technology learning and experiences to its audience.
The awards recognised women in the IT domain who demonstrated consistent excellence, leadership and integrity, and are a role model in an industry which otherwise is dominated by males. The awards were presented by FC Kohli, the father of the Indian software industry.
“Its inspiring to receive the ‘Women Achievers in IT’ award from Interop and humbling to share this recognition with other women achievers from the industry. Interop’s effort to recognise women’s contributions in IT is commendable and should encourage many more talented women in the IT industry to pursue their dream careers and make a mark,” said Darshana Pai.
In the past, Darshana was honored with the ‘Women Leadership Achievement Award in the IT sector’ by the World Women Leadership Congress and Awards (WWLCA) and ‘Best Woman Corporate Leader’ award by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) for her contributions in promoting Indo-US trade, financial excellence, corporate social responsibility and development of human capital.
