A Government order passed by the Telangana government on the fee reimbursement turned to be controversial. The FAST (Financial Aide for student of Telangana) was passed which states that the families residing in Telangana on or before 1956 only will be benefitted with the fee reimbursement. On the other hand court expressed its anger on the orders issued to change the vehicle registration number plate from ‘AP’ to ‘TS’.
In fact, the registration plate issue did not face any opposition from the people. On the other hand, FAST got a lot of criticism from parents and students. However, TRS government stood by its decision.
So petitions were filed against this government order. The court investigated on the matter and decided that the actions of the government are unconstitutional and that it is article 19. Court also responded on number plate issue. It said that the government decisions are not at all rational, all people living in the Telangana are to be considered as citizens of the state”.
