Actress Hamsa Nandini, who played Brahmanandam’s wife in Gopichand-starrer ‘Loukyam’, is ecstatic with the response that she got. “I’ve watched the film in my home town Pune along with a good number of Telugu students. I could locate from their faces that they’ve enjoyed the film. They circled me after the film was over,” smiles Hamsa, who also did an item number in the film.

“I don’t call it an item number; I rather call it a special number. If you look at the all the songs I’ve done till now, they go with the story; situation demanded them. I also ensure that I understand the lyrics before I proceed with a song,” she says. It’s been seven years since she made her debut in the industry but Hamsa is yet to pick up Telugu. “I can understand the language very well but I commit grammatical errors when I articulate. It will take some more time for me to get a complete hang of the language.”

The actress, meanwhile, is gung-ho about her outing in ‘Rudhramadevi’. “I play Madanika, a warrior princess in the film. It’s a full length role and I’m not supposed to divulge more details,” she says.
