Vijayawada: An Inspector of Police, who was on duty atop Indrakeeladri on the auspicious Moola Nakshatram day, was booked for watching “obscene videos” on his mobile phone on Wednesday. The Inspector of Police was identified as Pandiri Vara Prasad.
The Inspector of Police was caught on HMTV camera while he was watching pornography. Following the broadcast of the report, Director General of Police ordered the suspension of the police officer.
City Police Commissioner A B Venkateswara Rao said severe action would be taken against the erring officer. A case was booked and would be transferred to authorities concerned, he said.
