College student crushed to death by RTC bus
An 18-year-old college student was crushed to death by a speeding RTC bus in Malakpet under Chaderghat police station limits on Sunday evening. Police identified the deceased as S Avinash, hailing from Adilabad district.
Hyderabad: An 18-year-old college student was crushed to death by a speeding RTC bus in Malakpet under Chaderghat police station limits on Sunday evening. Police identified the deceased as S Avinash, hailing from Adilabad district.
According to Chaderghat police, Avinash, came under the rear wheels of the RTC bus (AP 11Z 6801) in Malakpet area. Death was instant for Avinash.
“He alighted from a bus near Chermas shopping mall and was walking across the road when the Hayathnagar depot RTC bus hit him from behind around 5 pm. Due to the impact, the teenager fell on the road and came under the rear wheels of the bus. He died instantly,” the police said, adding that the parents have been informed and they would be reaching the city by night. The RTC bus driver, K Kondal, was detained. A case has been registered against the driver under Section 304-A (Death caused due to negligence) of the IPC.
