Hyderabad: The Education Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Ganta Srinivasa Rao and G Jagadish Reddy will hold a meeting with the officials of Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) on Friday to thrash out the modalities of conducting intermediate examinations for the academic year of 2014-15. Chief Executive of the Board, Rama Sankar Naik spoke to the two Ministers about the meeting. He said what had happened so far, was the adaptation of AP Intermediate Board Act for the purpose of forming the Telangana Board.
But other issues like conduct of the examinations have to be settled. A meeting of the AP and Telangana Education ministers was necessitated by some other key issues as well. The two Ministers are expected to hold a joint exercise on proposed amendments to the AP Universities Act, 1991 with the aim of curbing corruption in universities. The issue of guidelines on disbursal of fee reimbursements to students in Telangana and AP students is also to be settled.
