It's a known fact that Chandrababu Naidu is in the process of finally starting work on the AP capital. Some time back he had announced that the capital city of the residuary Andhra Pradesh would be somewhere near Vijayawada.
Recently, we got to know that he had changed his mind and said it would be Guntur. In between, we heard that the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister had got his Hyderabad house renovated. It's usual practice for head of state to reside in the capital city. But Chandrababu's house renovation led to speculation that he may not move to another city in the near future.
The talk in political circles suggest that the TDP chief wants to stay on for at least another 5 years in Hyderabad in the best interest of his party's fortunes in the state. It's a known fact that ever since Telangana was granted separate statehood status, Hyderabad is slowly turning into a TRS stronghold.
TDP's fear of losing hold over Telangana has been further strengthened by its own party men making a beeline for the Pink party. This being the case, political observers feel that it is this reason why Chandrababu doesn't want to leave the city and thus delaying the capital city by another five years.
One thing, however, is sure-there's no able candidate than Babu to lead Andhra Pradesh. But it would be interesting to watch what measures Babu would take to stop his partymen from switching loyalties.
