Hyderabad: A case was filed with City police by the Telangana Labor department that over Rs600 crore has gone missing from the department’s bank account.

Police after following up on the launched and an investigation on the matter, police found that around Rs 609 crore was transferred to the account of Andhra Pradesh Building and Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board.

“We have started a probe following a complaint by the labor commissioner. The two officers have transferred the money to the AP board’s account,” he said. The two officials told the police that they had transferred the money following orders from the chief secretary of Andhra Pradesh.

However the question remains the same. Does the AP chief secretary have the power to transfer the funds of the Telangana Labor department to the AP labor department?

Police officials, after verifying the files and transfer details, said that the money was transferred on October 7, though the labor department officials noticed it later. It’s already known that the tug war for the funds is going on between both the states for quite some time.
