Karthikeya director Chandoo Mondeti is on a high. His phone hasn't stopped ringing ever since his movie hit theatres last week. The film has received phenomenal response from the audience and the who's who from the film fraternity have called the debut director to congratulate him on the script as well as direction.

"I never thought of it as an experiment..but I definitely believed that this would be a unique film. The film is also a commercial success which has made me happy," he says.
The Nikhil-Swathi starrer has been declared a superhit and the movie is running to packed houses. Chandoo has won brownie points in his first project itself! "I knew the audience would appreciate suspense in the plot, chemistry between lead actors would get good response. But I never expected comedy too would become a talking point," says the elated director.
Allu Arjun, Sukumar, VV Vinayak, Dil Raju, Annapurna Studios, PVP, Kamakshi movies are only few of the many sources from where Chandoo got a phone call.
"For a debut director to get such response is certainly overwhelming," he says.
What about his next movie? "I have three scripts ready. One is a police story which I wrote keeping Akkineni Nargajuna in mind. He's on foreign tour now. Will discuss with him once he's back," he signs off.
