Hyderabad: Telangana Telugu Desam floor leader in Assembly Errabelli Dayakar Rao took strong objection to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s statements in Assembly opposing renaming of airport domestic terminal in Shamshabad after former Chief Minister N T Rama Rao.
Speaking to reporters in Assembly lobbies, Errabelli reminded that KCR was a big admirer of NTR so much so that he named his son K Taraka Rama Rao after him. How could he oppose if Centre was giving due respect to N T R now, he asked and suggested KCR to change name of even his son in that case. “KTR should be renamed after Srikantha Chary, the first martyr in the renewed phase of Telangana agitation,” the TDP leader felt. If TRS government feels NTR is an outsider, then it should rechristen international terminal after P V Narasimha Rao in place of Rajiv Gandhi. Then we would agree to the demand by communists to name domestic terminal after tribal fighter Komaram Bheem in place of Centre’s choice of NT R, the TDP leader said.
