Ever since the centre decided to name of the terminals at the Rajic Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad after former Andhra chief minister late NT Rama Rao, there has been resistence from across parties in the political arena.

Among those who protested the move was also Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He said it was not right to give an Andhra leader's name to a structure in Telangana state. This has irked NTR supporters and TDP men to a great extent. They are of the opinion that KCR is in a position today only because he got a good opportunity to serve people by the late AP chief minister NTR. KCR owes his political career to NTR, says a person who doesn't want to be named.
It's worth recalling that KCR joined the Telugu Desam Party in the year 1983 and it was NTR who made him a minister.
"He (KCR) may be a chief minister today, but one must not forget his roots. Moreover, KCR was very much part of Andhra Pradesh at one point. Telangana is a new state so it's wrong to show disrespect to a land that gave you so much love and helped you grow," says a political expert.
Opposition parties feel that KCR is only raising his voice against the issue as he wants to divert the attention of the Opposition parties from more pressing issues like farmer suicides and power crisis that have crippled the state.
