Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who had a hectic day in the capital on Friday, complained to the Centre about the Telangana government’s interference in his administration.

New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, who had a hectic day in the capital on Friday, complained to the Centre about the Telangana government’s interference in his administration.
Naidu, who is meeting BJP leaders to press for the special status for the residuary state of Andhra Pradesh, called on Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday.
Naidu urged the Centre to resolve the status of 44 institutions which are not in either Ninth or Tenth Schedules of the Andhra Pradesh Re-organisation Act. The Andhra Pradesh government informed the Centre that its cadre officers were being prevented by the Telangana police from entering these such institutions. Naidu mentioned the instances of senior officers facing embarrassing moments at the National Academy of Construction and National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality. During his meeting with Arun Jaitley, Naidu pressed for expediting the special category status to AP. Jaitley reportedly informed Naidu that the special status was in fact a major demand of BJP and that the central government was very much alive to this. He reminded that it was he and Venkaiah Naidu who had made a forceful demand in Rajya Sabha for such a status.
