New Delhi: Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani was on Monday seen knocking the door of an astrologer in Bhilwara in Rajasthan. This astrologer is the same person who had predicted some time back that Irani would become a minister.

The 80-year-old referred to as "Nathu Lal ji" by his followers reportedly told the minister, who is 38, that she's due for a huge promotion.

His newest prediction is that the actor-turned-politician will one day go on to become the President of India.

Caught in a spot over questions over her visit, she said that she was being targeted to grab more eyeballs. "What I do in my personal life is not a matter of public concern. I realise that I am being targeted for TRPs but if that can bring money to your organisation then I am happy to do so," she said.

Congress leader Mani Shankar Iyer also said that she can go to an astrologer for a personal visit but not as a minister.
"Personally if she goes then its fine, but as an HRD minister, she shouldn't go like this. Scientific thinking should be imposed," he said.

Former President Pratibha Patil and Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh are among the high-profile fans of the astrologer, who lives in a village near the famous temple town of Nathdwara, around 280 kms from the state capital of Jaipur.
