In yet another case of thriving flesh trade in the city, North Zone Task Force late on Tuesday night busted a high-profile sex racket and arrested two persons and a small-time TV artiste who chose to be a part of the world’s oldest profession to earn an extra buck.
Hyderabad: In yet another case of thriving flesh trade in the city, North Zone Task Force late on Tuesday night busted a high-profile sex racket and arrested two persons and a small-time TV artiste who chose to be a part of the world’s oldest profession to earn an extra buck.
Acting on a tip-off, the sleuths established contact and struck a deal with the pimps through a decoy customer, following which a trap was laid at an apartment in Motinagar and busted the racket.
Police arrested the artiste, currently acting in a popular TV serial 'Kumkuma Puvvu,' along with two men and shifted them to SR Nagar police station for further investigation. Police slapped cases of prostitution against them under various sections of the Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act (PITA). This sent shock waves in the otherwise peaceful Motinagar area. Locals allege that flesh trade is mushrooming as owners are renting their houses to people without checking their credentials for higher rents. They are demanding action against apartment owner also.
