According to reports about 29 villages across Mangalagiri, Tadepalli and Tulluru mandals have seen a sudden spike in land deals.
The who's who from different walks of life are making enquiries on land rates expressing their desire to acquire lands which will fetch them the price of gold.
Real estate agents have now shifted their focus from Vijayawada to Guntur and playing brokers between investors and farmers. Farmers too are willingly giving away their lands as they feel the brokers would get them a better price than the government. If a report doing the rounds is anything to go by, then land deals worth Rs 4500 have been signed in the last two weeks.
This is not it. The stamps and Registration office in Guntur has collected a whopping Rs 150 crore which is a record in itself.
Looks like Chandrababu's plan to develop AP capital on the lines of Singapore and Japan is changing the fortunes of a few landlords and brokers. They sure have hit a goldmine.
