Eleven Year Old, Raped and Murdered
In another shocker, an eleven year old Keerthika, a Class VI student of Machanur government higher secondary school was found raped and murdered in Vellore. Keerthika\'s body was found in a school uniform at a mango grove in Kalyana Periyangkuppam on Tuesday morning. The police is questioning three class X students on suspicion.

Keerthika was cycling her way back from school when the incident happened near KV Kuppam near Gudiyatham in Vellore district.
Parents who got worried when Keerthika did not return home searched for four hours along with relatives after which they lodged a complaint at the KV Kuppam police station. Police say the girl’s hands and legs were tied and there were injuries on her head apparently by the assailant hitting her with a bottle. There were empty liquor bottles and water sachets found near the body.
Police are investigating various angles. Dog squads were taken to the scene of crime. DIG Tamilchandran and SP Senthil Kumar have started investigations.
