A senior doctor at Gandhi Hospital said that no cases were reported between 2012 to August 2014. It was in the month of November that cases started pouring in. In 2014, 20 cases of swine flu have been recorded in Telangana, with most of the cases from Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy. A senior doctor at Gandhi hospital said that an alert has been sounded. Doctors attribute the sudden spurt to three reasons; change in the environment with sudden chill and fog, viral factor and drugs.
