Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will be kicking-off Bramhotsavams of Komuravelli Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Warangal district on Sunday. He will participate in Kalyanamahotsavam and offer ‘pattu vastram’ to the holy deity. The district administration has made elaborate arrangements in view of the Chief Minister’s visit. Rao is expected to reach Komuravelli by helicopter around 11 am.

Warangal SP Amber Kishore Jha personally inspected helipad and venue of Kalyanam and gave directions to officials. This annual Jatara is being held for the first time in Telangana State and hence government is leaving no stone unturned to conduct them on a grand scale. Already five crore fund was released for this purpose.

Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple at Komuravelli

A large number of pilgrims from north Telangana as well as from neighboring Karnataka and Maharashtra states are expected during the Brahmotsavams. Seating arrangements were made at Thotabhaavi so that at least 10,000 pilgrims could watch kalyanam without any hitch. Komuravelli Jatara is one of the popular holy festivals in Telangana region.
