Actor Naga Babu condemned the act. “We are just artists. If they have any problem with the programme, they shouldn’t file a complaint against us. This is not the way to handle the things,” Naga Babu said. Many TV and film artists participated in a rally and showed their support to Venu. Telugu TV artistes association submitted a memorandum to the secretary of film chamber.

A TV artist added, “We make our living by entertaining the people. If anyone has a problem with the work that we do, they should have told the artist or the programme producer. Manhandling a person is brutal and we hope that it won’t repeat in the future against any one of us.”
