The Telangana Rashtra Samithi-led State government is going ahead with various developmental activities with a determined purposefulness. Each is aimed at making the lives of every citizen more meaningful.

The unique survey conducted across the State was such a huge success that the Union and several State Governments are evincing an interest in carrying out the exercise. Essentially, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is concentrating on four important areas of welfare, agriculture, industry and good governance.

Some of the redeeming features in the last six months that have drawn overwhelming approval include Kalyana Laxmi that provides for Rs 51,000 to every Dalit and tribal girl who gets married; ‘Shadi Mubharak’ scheme for poor Muslim women; judicial powers to Wakf Board; Rs 1000 crore budgetary allocation for Muslim minorities; three acres of land with irrigation facilities to landless dalits; exclusive bhavans for Banjara and Adivasi population in a posh Hyderabad locality; separate gram panchayats for every 500 population and financial support to tribals; Komuram Bheem Tribal University at Joreghat in Adilabad district. Driven by the motto of extending free education and health, the government has introduced people-oriented schemes like KG to PG; Prof Jaya Shankar Health University in Warangal; funds for government hospitals across the State; the ‘Kakatiya Mission’ for constructing minor irrigation tanks; ‘Water grid’ scheme to provide safe drinking water to every household within the next 5 years; 1,000 MW solar units in Mahabubnagar; completion of thermal projects in Ramagundem and Bhoopalpally; a unit near Manugur in Khammam district; welfare of farmers, pensioners; and vibrant functioning of the PDS.

Well, the list is endless.
The Chief Minister has taken specific care in honouring families of all the martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana Statehood and ensured freedom for all those who were arrested during the movement. Taking education to more positive levels in order to give concrete shape to the aspirations of the student community will be the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC). The quest to achieve ‘Bangaru Telangana’ remains paramount in the vision of the Chief Minister, whose administration comes to symbolize transparency, commitment and honesty in letter and spirit.
