Wanted Aggressive leader to head TPCC
The Congress high command is looking for an aggressive leader who can take on the TRS government in Telangana and keep the party cadres ready for any electoral battle in the State. The AICC leadership has got into action mode to strengthen the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) and is seriously contemplating to replace the existing State committee with a group of ‘strong’ and ‘aggressive’ leaders.

In fact, AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi had chosen Telangana first in the list of States for the revival of the Congress in the next two years, according to a top party source who was in the city recently.

Unhappy with the frequent internal squabbling and lack of coordination in the State unit, Rahul Gandhi is said to have held a brain-storming session with select T Congress leaders from village to State level about two weeks ago in New Delhi.
During the interaction, Rahul enquired about the performance and leadership qualities of present TPCC president P Lakshamaiah and CLP leader K Jana Reddy. It is learnt that majority of the leaders were not in favour of these two leaders and told him that the party had not failed to bounce back but also was losing members.
