The Interactive Installation of Gandhiji by Birad Yagnik is the digital documentation of the Legacy of Peace of 144 years from 1869 – 2013; in other words from Mahatma Gandhi to Nelson Mandela. The extensive archive of photographs, documents and videos is displayed for general public and students at the Mahatma Gandhi Museum at Bapu Ghat, Langer Houz, in Hyderabad.

The extensive archive of photographs, documents and videos is displayed for general public and students at the Mahatma Gandhi Museum at Bapu Ghat, Langer Houz, in Hyderabad. A small, yet interesting part of the exhibition is on display at HLF 2015.
The interactive exhibition includes a picture postcard with a question on it. In addition to checking one’s knowledge of Gandhi by answering the question, one can match the picture with the display on the wall, where there is additional information and story behind the picture. Some pictures are QR coded and when you scan the same with a smartphone.

The extensive digital archiving includes school records of Gandhiji that reveal he wasn’t a bright student after all. The highlight of the display is the Harley Davidson that has signatures of students from 11 different countries taken during a UN meeting in Hyderabad in 2000. The idea of getting Harley signed came from the Bikers Group at the UN Conference who fought for animal rights and are Bapu lovers.
