The visitors relished delicious Andhra chicken, hot samosa, variety of dosas, chicken pakodi and other traditional delicacies served in the food stalls setup by Meghalaya, Royal Fort, Daspalla and Punjab Grill.

Visakhapatnam: Thousands of people thronged RK Beach at Visakhapatnam on Saturday, the second day of Visakha Utsav. The visitors relished delicious Andhra chicken, hot samosa, variety of dosas, chicken pakodi and other traditional delicacies served in the food stalls setup by Meghalaya, Royal Fort, Daspalla and Punjab Grill.

Madugula Halwa made up of dry fruits was served hot. “There is quite good response for the stall kept here and we sold food items at reasonable price as public preferred Andhra delicacies,” said Sudha, a vendor. The visitors relished hot and spicy mirchi bajji, corn and samosa and other food items served at the Vuda Park. Horticulture department set up a palm seed oil extraction unit and many visitors came to the stall to know about the oil extraction process.

The organic stall at the carnival is drawing women as they want to know about organic food for a healthy way of living. Millets like Soya, Jonnalu (Jowar), Korrelu (Italian millet) , Korra Rice, Raagi (Finger Millet), Gantelu (Bajra) , Minumulu (black gram), sprouts, Bobbarlu (Cow Pea) and vegetables are directly brought from the farmers of rural areas of Madugula, Anakapalli and Kothavalasa. “We find this is hygienic and organic as there are no chemicals added to them and can be encouraged for a healthy life,” said a vistor Sundari.
