Robbers strike at gated community
A gang of masked burglars struck two houses in West End Colony in Hydershahkote, Bandlaguda under Narsingi police station limits during the wee hours on Monday. They tied the watchman of the gated community and fled the spot with silver ornaments and a car.
Hyderabad: A gang of masked burglars struck two houses in West End Colony in Hydershahkote, Bandlaguda under Narsingi police station limits during the wee hours on Monday. They tied the watchman of the gated community and fled the spot with silver ornaments and a car.
According to police, about five to six men, all wearing masks, entered the housing complex at about 3 am, after cutting the defunct ‘solar fencing’. They tied the night watchman of the West End Colony and entered a house on Plot 3, which was locked. All they could gather was silver ornaments weighing 6 tolas after breaking into house.
Following their failure to find jewellery, they entered the neighbouring house on Plot 4 where a man was asleep. After threatening him, they could obtain his car keys. “They were speaking Hindi and were covering their faces with masks,” said V Sudheer Kumar, SI. After registering the complaint, the police began investigation.
