7 killed, 4 hurt in road accident
In a ghastly road mishap, seven people were killed and four others were injured in a collision on Tuesday between two vehicles in Mahabubnagar district. According to the police, six of the victims were from Maharashtra and the seventh hailed from Kerala.
Hyderabad: In a ghastly road mishap, seven people were killed and four others were injured in a collision on Tuesday between two vehicles in Mahabubnagar district. According to the police, six of the victims were from Maharashtra and the seventh hailed from Kerala.
The accident occurred at Kommireddypalli in Addakula mandal of Mahabubnagar district, about 125 km from here. A multi-utility vehicle coming to Hyderabad from Kurnool hit a divider and collided with another MUV coming from the opposite direction. The driver of the first vehicle reportedly lost control due to over speed.
Eight of the six occupants from the first vehicle were killed. One of the three persons travelling in the second one was also killed in the accident, which led to a traffic jam on the highway. Police and rescue workers retrieved the bodies from the badly mangled cars.
