CPM to invite other Left parties for State plenary
The Telangana State unit of CPM has sought the permission of its central leadership to invite leaders of other Left parties for the party’s state-level plenary scheduled to begin on March 1. Until now, the CPM has been inviting the leaders of CPI to all its meetings and conventions.
Hyderabad: The Telangana State unit of CPM has sought the permission of its central leadership to invite leaders of other Left parties for the party’s state-level plenary scheduled to begin on March 1. Until now, the CPM has been inviting the leaders of CPI to all its meetings and conventions.
The CPM wants to put up a show of strength by inviting leaders of other Left parties like the CPI(ML), CPI(ML-Janashakti), All India Forward Bloc and The Republican party among others. The state convention will be held for three days and on March 4, a public meeting will be organised. The venue will be Nizam College.
The state unit’s request to the Central leadership assumes significance in view of a collective decision taken by all the 10 Left parties in the country, after a recent meeting that they will re-energize the Left movement in the country following the electoral reverses.
