Insiders in TRS contend that CM smelled a revolt or a coup by dissidents led by senior ministers and disgruntled MLAS in the party during his tour of US in the month of February . Sacking of Rajaiah was just a demonstration of how crude and swiftly KCR would act and also to serve as a warning to all 'loud mouthers and schemers in the party
It all happened so swiftly - the sacking of a Deputy CM- and inducting a replacement for him - in flat six hours. During the impromptu cabinet meeting at his camp office on January 25, KCR blasted several senior ministers that 'I have brought Telangana for all of you to enjoy power . But for me all of you would be on the streets or in jail ' he had thundered .Rajaiah would not have got even 100 votes on his own but for TRS brand name and KCR support .'Because I am silent even dogs are barking at me now a days "he shouted at them .
Although kept secret KCR is planning a fifteen day visit to American in the second week of February after he completed a Graham shuddi yagam in the first week of February begining next Wednesday . Intelligence sources had indicated to CM that that Rajaiah and his gang of four ministers had support of about 34 MLAs and 4 MPs who were all unhappy with the ways and conduct of KCR and his family members .
Every one in TRS says that the writing on wall was clear that Rajaiah's days were numbered . Ten developments that clouded Rajaiah's political future were as below .
  • Dr Rajaiah was chosen as deputy CM, because KCR wanted redeem his poll announcement that he would make a Dalit as CM. If not CM, at least Deputy CM .
  • Rajaiah had annoyed KCR by announcing choice of Warangal fort for Independence Day celebrations .
  • Rajaiah was back listed in CMO and most of the files of his ministry were first whetted by CMO and KTR before they were sent to him for endorsement .Three of Rajaiah's staffers were sacked on corruption charge without intimation to the minister .
  • KCR had lost confidence in Rajaiah and he had admonished and warned him twice in public .
  • Rajaiah had annoyed KCR by appointing a registrar for Kakatiya Health University on his own without approval by CM
  • Rajaiah had deviated proceedures and not sought CM endorsement for appointment of outsourcing agencies for jobs in 104/ 108 services .
  • Rajaiah had announced several programs of his ministry on his own without waiting for KCR as was done by other ministers .
  • Rajaiah had lobbied and campaigned for the in charge CM post during KCR visit to US for treatment in February .
  • Rajaiah had also lobbied for post of working president of TRS when KTR name was circulated to ease work pressure on sick KCR .
  • Public defiance of Deputy CM on more than six instances w ere counted by KCR during his last meeting on Friday last when Rajaiah had apologized and sought to be pardoned
