Dear Chief Minster Shri. K Chandra Sekhar Rao garu and Health Minster Shri. Lakshma Reddy Garu, NRI's Open Letter to KCR on Swine Flu in Telangana.

Sub: Swine Flu epidemic and Medical officers’ attitude.
Medical Schools play a major role whenever there is an epidemic in the state. This is the trend in Western world. Medical Academicians decide the required measures and the administrators implement.
I have just visited Osmania Medical College on 28th Tueday at 11:00 A.M to see the activity planned to control the epidemic. To my surprise the Osmania Medical College is in deep slumber. Quiet environment prevailed in 5 stories without any activity. There is some activity in Principal’s office. The attended outside sitting told me that Dr. Rukmini and Mrs. Lakshmi Bai are having meeting for the last 10 minutes. Admin office and Finance office is literally empty. Though there are 25 to 30 arranged tables and chairs for office staff in each area, literally there were only 4-5 staff members starting to open their computers and Almerahs/Cupboards/Drawers to start their work work at 11:00 AM. There was some group discussion in Biochemistry HOD, Dr. Vani’s office. Can you imagine 90% of staff is not in at 11:00 A.M.? Only 10% are about to start their work at 11:00 A.M. (In western world people start their work between 7:30 A.M to 9:00 A.M as flexible hours and finish their work between 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM depending on whenthey have started their work in the morning. This enables staff presence from 7:30 until 6:00PM). I am surprised to know that the rooster crows at 11:00AM and cat wakes up from the mud oven at 11:00 AM in Telangana State (Vinasha kale-Veepareeta Buddhi exactly suits for this situation especially when there is an epidemic in the state).
I waited and went back to College at 3:00 P.M thinking that the clinicians will come back from hospital and plan to combat epidemic. To my surprise not even a single clinician appeared at Osmania Medical College at 3:00 P.M. I made some enquiries and most of the clinicians are having a nap after lunch at their home to start their private practice in the afternoon.
This is not good for “Bangaru Telengana”. A responsible officer would have visited and suspended at least a dozen of officers in this situation.
Hope you understand my concern at the time when there is emergency in the state.
I look forward seeing more stringent actions from your Govt.
Kindest Regards
