The Kakinada branch of Indian Medical Association {IMA} has geared up to treat suspected Swine flu cases. According to Dr Ram Swaroop Jawahar, president of IMA Kakinada unit, cases with fever, chough, cold and body pains were being examined thoroughly.

Patients with symptoms of swine flue were being kept in isolation wards. In addition to this, throat swabs were being sent for comprehensive test to Hyderabad as the facility was not available in these parts. The IMA had also taken up campaign to administer vaccine to people with diabetes, heart and kidney ailments, he said.
