400 take ill due to food poisoning

As many as 400 people took ill on Saturday due to food poisoning at Kolavennu village in Krishna district. Those, who fell ill, ate food at a wedding reception in the village. According to reports reaching here, all those, who took ill, were ferried to hospitals in Kankipadu and the neighbouring villages for treatment.

It is suspected that either the sweet or the ice cream served at the lunch was contaminated. The district officials rushed to the spot and monitoring the situation.
