NCC cadets felicitated for good show

Krishna District Collector A Babu exhorted students to focus on discipline and moral values to become socially responsible citizens in future. The Collector participated in a felicitation function of NCC cadets at Andhra Loyola College on Tuesday as chief guest.

Babu, who is an alumnus of Andhra Loyola College, said, “Students should choose their field of interest and strive to excel in that discipline. Emphasis should also be laid on acquiring new skills to fare better in the highly competitive world.”

Later, the college management honoured the NCC cadets who had participated in this year’s Republic Day parade. Medals were presented to NCC cadets Anvesh Nanda, K Preran, D Venkata Krishna, M Vikram, R Divya Sai, S Naga Balaji, T Thayos, Sk Riyaz, M Akbar Basha and P Gayathri for their good show in the Republic Day fete.

Medals were also distributed to seven students for putting up outstanding cultural programmes. Customs Commissioner Sk Khadir Rahman Khan gave away merit certificates to the students who fared well in a sports meet held at the college.

College principal Rev Fr G Kishore, Rector Fr Ravi Shekhar, correspondent Fr Raju, vice- principals Fr Rex Angelo and Fr Anil and other faculty members were present.
