Except allocating Rs 141 crore for Peddapalli-Nizamabad railway line, the Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu did not make any announcements in the railway budget which would benefit Nizamabad district. In the previous railway budget, Rs 70 crore was allocated to the Peddapalli-Nizamabad railway line.

Nizamabad: Except allocating Rs 141 crore for Peddapalli-Nizamabad railway line, the Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu did not make any announcements in the railway budget which would benefit Nizamabad district. In the previous railway budget, Rs 70 crore was allocated to the Peddapalli-Nizamabad railway line.

Works for laying 178 km railway line between Peddapalli and Nizamabad has been started in 1991. So far, officials laid 162 km railway line from Peddapalli to Perkit in Nizamabad district. Railway line would be completed if officials lay remaining stretch of 16 km. Moreover, there was no mention about modernising the Nizamabad railway station in the budget.

Armoor: Allocations were not made in the budget for laying railway line between Armoor-Adilabad and Bodhan-Bidar. Even the budget did not allocate funds for taking up survey between these railway lines. People of Kamareddy and Dichpalli were disappointed as budget did not mention about upgradation of the stations to the status of model stations.
