Mytrah to set up 220 MW wind power project.The Mytrah Energy Ltd, one of the largest independent wind energy producing companies in the country, bagged a 220 MW wind power project from the government of Andhra Pradesh at the RE-Invest 2015, the first renewable energy global investors meet and expo during 15-17 February in New Delhi.
Hyderabad: The Mytrah Energy Ltd, one of the largest independent wind energy producing companies in the country, bagged a 220 MW wind power project from the government of Andhra Pradesh at the RE-Invest 2015, the first renewable energy global investors meet and expo during 15-17 February in New Delhi.
The project will be installed in Kurnool district and is expected to be commissioned in 18 months. The deal was signed at RE-Invest as part of the Modi government’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. “We are excited to sign the MoU with the Andhra Pradesh government and contribute to the larger energy requirements of the State and the nation,” said Ravi Kailas, Chairman & CEO, Mytrah Energy Ltd. “At Mytrah, we have successfully built an operating portfolio of 543 MW across seven wind rich States, in a span of four years. We have set the platform for accelerated growth that will enable economic and social progress of all key constituents of the renewable energy eco-system and its beneficiaries,” he added.
“We have 300 MW under construction and 3500 MW of identified projects in the pipeline. Our strong partnerships with both domestic and international wind turbine manufacturers have enabled us to grow continually and generate significant value,” said Vikram Kailas, Managing Director, Mytrah Energy Ltd.

MEIL plans to achieve 5000 MW of wind power by 2019. The company has developed expertise and procedures to comply with environmental legislation for commissioning of the projects.
