Road mishap kills 2, injures 8 in Khammam

In a road accident occurred in Dummugudem mandal of Khammam District, a middle aged woman and a nine month old baby boy were killed leaving eight more injured.

The accident took place when the Tata Ace vehicle with the group of pilgrims travelling back home after a visit to the Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada, rammed into a tree at Chinna Nalaballi. After the driver lost control of the vehicle, it crashed into a roadside tree and eventually resulting in the vehicle overturned on the Bhadrachalam-Charla highway.

The deceased were identified as Nagamani and Shyam Sundar of Tegada ; while the injured were rushed to the Government hospital in Bhadrachalam.
