Four-year-old Nukathoti Snehil Prakruth has already made a name for himself, courtesy his eidetic memory. The city lad has broken many records by naming the capitals of 219 countries in just five minutes and eight seconds, the founders of 105 search engines in a mere four minutes and fifteen seconds, the dates of birth of 100 Indian freedom fighters, and more than 50 Telangana freedom fighters, and so on.
It was two and a half year old Snehil who entered the Telugu Book of Records for naming the most number of capitals within the shortest time back in September 2013. It was only a matter of time before he used his super awesome memory to recite his way into The Book of Telangana Records, India Book of Records, Everest World Records, Wonder Book of International Records, Record Holders Republic, Unique World Records and World Amazing Records.
“My son’s memory is truly a gift of God,” beams Snehil’s father, Shobanbabu, a techie. “My wife and I noticed our son’s talent and began feeding him with tidbits of information. At the age of two he could recite the capitals of all the states in India.” “The process of teaching a kid is like copying files onto a pendrive. Children’s memory is fresh and can be written on to with a little effort from the parents,” Shobanbabu says.
The small wonder is also credited for reciting the names of 66 books of the Bible in just 46 seconds at the age of three and parroting more than 100 chemical formulas, the articles from the Constitution. He received the Allu Ramalingaiah National Award in 2013 and recently a certificate from former Deputy Chief Minister T Rajaiah.
Currently being schooled at Sri Chaitanya Techno School, Snehil is well-ahead of the kids in his class. “Snehil is in the LKG. While all the kids in his class have just started learning the alphabet, Snehil can jot the letters down effortlessly. He has started learning tables and I know it will not take him long to commit them to his memory,” Shobanbabu said.
