Two more persons who were undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the Gulf Oil Corporation Limited (GOCL) blast succumbed to their burns, taking the death toll to six on Monday. The victims were identified as Y Muthyal Rao, 56, of Bolaram who sustained 70 per cent burns and M Mahatma Goud, 60, of Trimulgherry, who received 75 per cent burns.

Hyderabad: Two more persons who were undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the Gulf Oil Corporation Limited (GOCL) blast succumbed to their burns, taking the death toll to six on Monday. The victims were identified as Y Muthyal Rao, 56, of Bolaram who sustained 70 per cent burns and M Mahatma Goud, 60, of Trimulgherry, who received 75 per cent burns.

It may be recalled that two persons died on the spot and 13 others were injured, including six critically injured in the explosion that occurred while the workers were trying to dispose of the rejected detonators at an open place adjacent to a shed at D-1 Sector on February 23. Six of those critically injured were shifted to Apollo DRDO Hospital where Madhusudhan Reddy and Krishna Swamy died while undergoing treatment earlier. The condition of two other victims, Abdul Saleem and Surender Reddy remains critical while that of seven others is stable, doctors said on Monday.
