Hyderabad: The first phase of Metro Rail in the city is not going to be operational from Ugadi (March 21) as anticipated by the citizens. This was made clear here on Monday by Metro Rail Managing Director NVS Reddy. He said Metro Rail could not be run in phases due to some problems. It will be operational only after the completion of the entire project, he said. It was said earlier that the first phase of the Metro Rail would run on the Nagole Mettuguda section from Ugadi. Trial run was also conducted on the section raising great expectations among the people.
