Following a protest by Telangana advocates who demanded for a separate High Court for Telangana, police made unparalleled security arrangements at the courts across the city.


Around 200 policemen drafted at the RR court complex at LB Nagar for the security arrangements that was personally supervised by Tafseer Iqubal, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, L.B. Nagar. The complex was deployed with an official of DIG rank, three ACPs, seven inspectors, 35 SI along with a substantial number of constables.


At Medchal court, around 150 policemen were deployed. City Civil Courts witnessed tension prevailing as a group of advocates tried to prevent the staff from entering the premises, later they were taken into custody.


About 50 advocates were taken into preventive custody by the police while planning to stage a protest. Saturday witnessed advocates throwing eggs at judges at the RR court complex during the protest.


Security arrangements were increased near High Court and City Criminal Courts.
