Hyderabad Techie on bench jumps before running train over debt fear

Crisis in software sector, vanishing jobs, evaporating projects leading IT companies to sack employees both domestically and overseas has led to a sense of insecurity in the Industry and often driving mid aged executives to end theur lives.

Yet another software engineer in debt trap, unhappy family conditions jumped himself in front of a running train in the IT corridor of Hyderabad on Tuesday evening. Konda Venkat Reddy (30), a software engineer working with DST world located at Gachhibowli jumped in front a moving train and died on the spot. The incident occurred between Lingampalli and Chandanagar railway station on Tuesday evening.

Reddy was identified on the basis of his ID card and the phone numbers that he carried with him. Reddy had no financial problems and was married just two years ago and lived at Manikonda, say his close associates. But DST world sources say that the company had plans to shut down its various units in South and had put lot many employees on the bench and it was only just a few days ago that Reddy too got to be on the bench.
