Mahabubnagar: Health Minister C Laxma Reddy said here on Tuesday the Chief Minister, K Chandrashekar Rao, was making all efforts to ensure that there was no scope for corruption in the administration. He spoke to the media here with the Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao and Parliamentary Secretary V Srinivas Goud.

Laxma Reddy alleged that the previous State government in united AP had indulged in large-scale corruption in awarding contract for setting up 6,000 MW of thermal power project at an estimated cost of Rs 45,000 crore. He said the TRS government had handed over the same contract to the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) in the newly-formed State.

Laxma Reddy stated that the Central government had appreciated the Telangana State government for giving thermal power project contract to the BHEL. The Minister alleged that corruption was rampant in the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission in the united AP. He said that the TRS government entrusted the responsibility of the Telangana State Public Service Commission to Ghanta Chakrapani to make it corrupt-free and an example for other States to follow.

“TRS leaders and Ministers did not participate in tenders called for construction of roads, so that there would not be any scope for the government to face corruption charges,” he said. He made an appeal to the graduates to cast their vote for the TRS candidate G Deviprasad, who is contesting for MLC elections for the Hyderabad-Ranga Reddy-Mahabubnagar Graduates constituency.

Industries Minister Jupally Krishna Rao said the process of staff distribution between two states would be completed by March 31. “Once the distribution of employees is completed, then the vacancies in various departments would be filled,” he added. He alleged that the TDP government in AP was not sharing rightful share of power with Telangana state. The Minister said that the TRS government’s goal was to ensure 24-power supply to state people from 2017 onwards.

Srinivas Goud expressed happiness over the allocation of ticket to Deviprasad, who played a crucial role in the formation of Telangana state by uniting government employees to back the agitation for a separate state. He gave a call to graduates to cast their vote in favour of Deviprasad, so that Mahabubnagar district can witness development.
