University of Hyderabad: Home to Exotic Species. The University of Hyderabad (UoH) was recently conferred the best varsity award in the country. The sprawling 2,300 acre campus at Gachibowli is home to variety of fauna.

The University of Hyderabad (UoH) was recently conferred the best varsity award in the country. The sprawling 2,300 acre campus at Gachibowli is home to variety of fauna. A study by the institution revealed that UoH is home to over 734 flowering plants, 80 varieties of birds, 10 mammal species and 15 reptile species including spotted deer, wild boars, peacocks and bats. These species exist along the lake and rock formations which add to the sparkle of the campus. Here’s a look at some of the breathtaking fauna of the university shared by shutterbugs from the UoH.
