Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu reacted sharply at the Guntur police department for not providing adequate police support to the caravan of Jana sena chief Pawan Kalyan. The AP CM took the DGP and others to task for not providing sufficient security to Pawan Kalyan entourage which suffered due to farmers rampage, attacks on barricades and shuffling of chairs at the Undavalli meeting.

' What happened, why this failure?' he quipped when the Law and Order DGP came on line. He instructed the Chief secretary IYR Krishna Rao to take note and issue instructions to ensure that no untoward things happened in other YSRC strong villages in the CRDA region.

The CM directed his office to enquire why they failed to provide security and bandobust when Pawan Kalyan was received by TDP MLAs and also when TDP leaders of Mangalagiri accorded him welcome.

It appears that the Guntur district police have informed the CMO that they were not informed about Pawan Kalyan’s tour even when they sought information from Hyderabad.

On the directions of CM, the special police were rushed to Mangalagiri and other villages where Pawan Kalyan is travelling by road. He is scheduled to attend another two meetings at Yerrabalem and Thullur before returning to Gannavaram by evening on return journey to Hyderabad.
