TOMCOM to care for Gulf migrant workers
Minister for Labor and Home Naini Narsimha Reddy on Wednesday expressed confidence that Telangana Overseas Manpower Company (TOMCOM) will provide all support to Gulf migrants. Launching a logo and website for TOMCOM, he handed over job visas to six trained persons on the occasion and appreciated some private companies and organisations involved in immigration activities for extending support to TOMCOM.

Launching a logo and website for TOMCOM, he handed over job visas to six trained persons on the occasion and appreciated some private companies and organisations involved in immigration activities for extending support to TOMCOM.
The Minister added the State government would use the services of Indira Kranthi Padhakam (IKP) and National Academy of Construction (NAC) to polish the skills through training. Naini expressed concern over the middlemen and some false companies duping the gullible workers.
He said he would take up the issue with Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on financial matters as finance department was reluctant to provide funding and succor. “With the State government support the TOMCOM, we will try to avoid middlemen, harassment by companies, ensure job safety and timely salary,” he said.

The Company will offer skill development training along with job visas, while the State government in coordination with External Affairs Ministry will monitor their jobs, security, safety and salary issues, he said. Labor department secretary and Commissioner, Information and Public Relations, RV Chandravadan and others were present.
