AOC unveils smartphones

US-based mobile handset maker AOC has launched two 3G-enabled smartphones – M601 and E40 - and one tablet (D70V50G) in Indian market. Priced under Rs 10,000, the company is targeting the young and aspiring people with the new products which are available with advanced specifications and pre-load apps. The entry-level E40 smartphone comes with a 4-inch multi touch display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels and dual SIM slots. The premium M601 smartphone sports a 6-inch IPS capacitive multi-touch display with a resolution of 960x540 pixels. “With this foray, we will further cement our relationship with our customers from erstwhile single-screen to multi-screens – monitors, smartphones and tablets. In addition, our service centres are spread across all the regions, which will further enable us to deliver seamless support and assured service to our customers,” said Atul Jasra, Business Head, AOC India. The Indian smart-device market is undergoing an exciting phase, with the customers preferring features and value for money over high-decibel-branded products, he added.
