Reddy’s lawyers, who approached the court, last week urged it to relax the bail conditions of Venkatram Reddy. However, Court on Friday rejected their plea.

Hyderabad: The special court for CBI cases has rejected the interim bail petition of Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited (DCHL) chairman T Venkatram Reddy in connection with a bank fraud case on Friday. Reddy’s lawyers, who approached the court, last week urged it to relax the bail conditions of Venkatram Reddy. However, Court on Friday rejected their plea. It may be recalled that the Division Bench of the Hyderabad High Court on March 4 granted conditional stay in favour of DCHL against Income Tax dues, provided it paid Rs 720 crore to the IT Department.
