Property prices soar in Suryapet
The property prices in and around Suryapet town shoot upsuddenly with the State government proposing to carve out a separate Suryapet district. During his recent visit to Suryapet, Minister for Panchayat Raj and IT K Traka Rama Rao has also earlier stated that Suryapet must be made headquarters of the new district.

The words of the Minister have literally given a boost to the real estate sector in the town. With the speculations, which were making rounds in the political circles that the District Collectorate and government offices will come up on Jangaon road, the land prices there are touching the sky. The prices of plots went up by 40 to 60 per cent within a period of six months.
The two bedroom flats located near Area Hospital, which is close to the bypass junction, are costing between Rs 25 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. As Suryapet is a town through which the national highway is passing and as it is also a major business centre, the land prices were always high in the town compared to the other towns. In the radius of 5 km within the town, several real estate ventures have come up and the residential plots and constructed houses are selling as hot cakes. Taking advantage, the realtors have increased the prices of the plots to make money.
