Passengers of a private Volvo bus spent tense moments after noticing smoke emanating from the vehicle on the national highway near Veltoor village in Peddamandadi mandal on Friday. The driver stopped the bus after a passenger gave information. Thirty six persons were travelling in the bus while it was going to Tirupati from Hyderabad. Driver Ramana Reddy said smoke emanated due to failure of brake liners. The passengers were sent to Tirupati by another bus.
