Motkupalli protests for Cabinet berths to Dalits

Hyderabad: Telangana Telugu Desam politburo member Motkupalli Narsimhulu along with his supporters staged a dharna at Dharna chowk near Indira Park seeking cabinet berths for SC/STs in the TRS cabinet.

Speaking to media persons, Motkupalli described his bete noire Chief Minister KCR as a thief and a Dalit cheater. " KCR is behaving like a feudal lord and throttling the voice of the Dalits.Bad days of KCR have begun. He cheated Dalits at every stage of forming the Telangana government. He ignored the promise of making a Dalit as CM," he said. Several TDP leaders including T TDP president L. Ramana, Floor Leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao, MLA Revanth Reddy and others extended their support to Motkupalli.

The TDP leader further said KCR has not only cheated Dalits but also farmers, students and even BCs, who dreamt of golden Telangana. Joining the chorus, Revanth Reddy lamented that only KCR's family has been benefitted in the new state but not people."This dharna is just a beginning. We, with the support of Dalits, BCs, farmers and students from all corners of the state will protest until they get justice", Revanth Reddy added. Later in the evening, the TDP members tried to storm the CM’s camp office but were arrested by police.
