To elucidate the in depth meaning and essence of the keertans penned by saint poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya, TTD will soon air a new programme "Annamaiah Paata-Maata".


TTD JEO at Tirupati Sri Pola Bhaskar says that renowned musicians like Dr Mangalampalle Balamurali Krishna, Ms Latha Mangeskar, Smt P Suseela, Smt S Janaki, Smt Vani Jayaram have rendered their voice for the great works of the saint poet which were recorded by TTD through SV Recording Project.


Addressing the bhajan groups during metlotsavam conducted in Alipiri on the occasion of 512th Death Anniversary of Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya on Monday, the JEO said, the background narration has been rendered by versatile scholars for Annamayya sankeertans which will soon be telecast on SVBC soon.


The TTD was also mulling to conduct a nationwide competition on Annamacharya Sankeertans to popularise the great saints’ contribution to Bhakti cult. The keertans will be sung by budding artistes among children and youth and they also will be relayed by SVBC during festive occasions.


Tallapaka descendants, Sri Harinarayanacharyulu, Sri Raghavacharyulu, Sri Annamacharyulu who sing the supratabatam seva at the Srivari Temple every day also participated in the event.
